Ofgem
Ofgem (Office of Gas and Electricity Markets) regulates Britain's gas and electricity industries and has a number of statutory duties including the protection of consumers.
Ofgem's role is to protect and advance the interests of consumers by promoting competition where possible and through regulation only where necessary. They have made a number of regulations relating to the service we provide to our customers and if we fail to meet any of these Guaranteed Standards, we must pay compensation to those customers affected. These standards are reported to Ofgem on an annual basis.
